I Am

"I AM happy and blessed to start this day." This is a positive affirmation that I told myself when I woke up this morning. I will admit, the idea of talking to oneself seemed a little silly to me at first. However, I continue saying positive affirmations to myself in the morning and throughout the day, and have found that they have made a positive impact on my day-to-day life. When life throws us curve-balls, it can be easy to get stuck in a negative headspace. However, one of the best strategies to break out of this way of thinking is by saying daily positive affirmations.

Affirmations are positive statements that we can say to ourselves to help build self-confidence and create a more positive outlook. Over time, consistent use of affirmations can help you to reframe the way you think. Rather than focusing on "what ifs" and "I can'ts," positive affirmations can help you to think more positively and take action towards the life you want to create. For example, if you're feeling like you don't have the skills or abilities to do something, you can use affirmations to help you get through the challenge. Instead of telling yourself that you can't do it, you can tell yourself "I am capable of achieving my goals." This tiny shift in thought can help to propel you forward and boost your confidence levels. Alternatively, if you're feeling overwhelmed and anxious, affirmations can be used to help you take a step back and remind yourself that you are capable of managing the situation. You can try saying "I am strong and capable" or "I am in control of my own destiny."

Positive affirmations can also be helpful for those who struggle with low self-esteem. By using affirmations, you can remind yourself of your own strength and worthiness. For example, you can say “I am worthy of love and happiness,” or “I am capable of achieving anything I set my mind to.” By saying daily positive affirmations, you can help to build

a more positive outlook and break out of the cycle of negative thinking. Affirmations can help to give you the confidence to take on challenges, manage stress and anxiety, and develop a healthier relationship with yourself.

Just last week I was having trouble making an important decision. After researching all my options I narrowed it down to two choices, both of which had their own pros and cons. Feeling frustrated, I thought, “There are just no good options!” The negativity

was affecting my mood, so I decided to stop ruminating and worrying and said the following affirmation: “The right choice will be presented to me and I will know it when I see it because I am trusting in my ability to make sound decisions. I trust in my own wisdom and intuition.” This really helped to put me into a more positive head-space, and I eventually did make a decision that I was satisfied with.

Ultimately, affirmations are a powerful tool that can help to shift the way you think and feel. They can be used to create a more optimistic outlook on life. When we have negative thoughts, these thoughts are more powerful than you may realize—but so is positivity! So, if you're feeling down or overwhelmed, try adding positive affirmations into your daily routine and see how it can help you to create a more positive life.
